What people search for as Nagole RTO is the Nagole Driving Test Track, where the Telangana Transport Department holds driving tests for Hyderabad. It registers no vehicles and has no code, so RCs, transfers and NOCs are handled at the zone offices.
No plate carries a Nagole number. On TG 11 AB 1234, TG is Telangana and 11 is the registering office, here the East Zone at Malakpet; AB is the series and 1234 is the four-digit number.

Worth knowing: Passing a test at Nagole has nothing to do with the number on your car. The two digits name the office that registered it, and the number does not change when you move house in Telangana; an older car still shows TS, and the code changes only if the car is re-registered outside Telangana or its registration details are changed.
High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are neither booked nor fitted at the Nagole track. A car sold new from 1 April 2019 gets its plate from the dealer, and an older car has it installed after a booking.
Book through the portal named on the Telangana transport department website, which gives the date for your car, and read our Telangana RTO guide for sticker and plate rules.
The track has no code, so these are the offices that register the cars
There is no Nagole RTO code, as the track only tests drivers. The codes below belong to the offices that register vehicles, each with TS in place of TG on cars from before March 2024.
What happens at the track, how to book, what to bring and what is done elsewhere
The department’s directory lists the Nagole Driving Test Track with an officer of RTO rank in charge, but gives no street address or hours for it. Hyderabad licence applicants come here for the driving test after booking a slot on Sarathi.
Sit the driving test for a permanent licence on the slot you booked
Apply and pick a test slot on the Sarathi portal before you travel
The department also holds auctions of seized vehicles at the track
Telangana’s own test-day checklist could not be confirmed from an official source, so read the instructions on your Sarathi booking before you go.
Registration, RC changes, ownership transfers and NOCs are not done at Nagole. They go to the zone office for your address, such as Malakpet for Dilsukhnagar or Tolichowki for Mehdipatnam.

The department names Nagole as the place for driving tests in Hyderabad. The zone offices below cover the city, and their applicants are tested at the track.
Worth knowing: For an applicant under a Rangareddy or Medchal office, the test centre appears on the Sarathi booking, so confirm it there rather than assuming Nagole. Living near the track does not make Nagole your registering office; the area lists of the offices above decide that.
For anything other than the test, go to a registering office. Pick the one named on your RC from the offices below.

Not collected at the track; the registering office takes the Telangana life tax
Nagole collects no road tax. The Telangana life tax is paid once, when a car is registered at a zone office, at a rate set by the car’s price and by who owns it.
The registering office also charges a ₹5,000 road safety cess on each new car from 1 March 2026. The second-vehicle rate remains in the order despite a February 2026 report that it would end, so check on Vahan. Rates for bikes and scooters sit on our Telangana RTO guide.
The track does not collect registration fees. The national RTO fees below are paid on the Vahan portal to the office that registers the car, and licence fees are paid as part of the Sarathi application.
For example: If you have just passed your test at Nagole and buy a new car on a loan with a Dilsukhnagar address, Malakpet registers it and the RTO fees come to ₹2,300, which is ₹600 registration, ₹200 for the smart card RC and ₹1,500 for the hypothecation, before life tax.
Renewing a car past 15 years costs ₹5,000 at the registering office, ₹10,000 beyond 20 years, and a late renewal adds ₹500 a month for a car or ₹300 for a motorcycle.
Plates, life tax, the cess and other state service charges are separate, and none of them is paid at Nagole.
Not done at the track, as the dealer files it and a zone office registers the car
New cars are not registered at Nagole. The dealer files the registration on Vahan, and the office for your home address, such as Malakpet for Dilsukhnagar, issues the number.
A valid policy has to be in place before the car can be registered
The showroom issues a temporary registration on Vahan, valid for up to a month
A week after delivery is the limit for the Form 20 application
Your zone or district office registers the car, and the HSRP is fitted
News reports say a January 2026 order lets authorised dealers register new private cars without an office visit
The smart card RC is reported to come by speed post to the address you give
The dealer collects the life tax, cess and RTO fee as part of the on-road price
Transfers are not handled at the Nagole track. The office that registered the car does it on Vahan, with Form 29 from the seller and Form 30 signed by both, for ₹300 a car or ₹150 a motorcycle.
From that date the buyer is allowed 14 days to switch the car’s policy over.
To end the hypothecation after the loan, the registering office needs Form 35 and the lender’s No Objection Certificate (NOC). There is no RTO fee, though a state service charge may apply, and our Telangana RTO guide lists each document.
Your Nagole test starts on the Sarathi portal, where learner and driving licences are applied for and test slots booked. Vehicle work, such as an RC or a transfer, runs on the Vahan portal, in use in Telangana since 23 March 2026.
A duplicate RC comes from the registering office, on Form 26, at the fee in the fees table. The Kiwi Insurance RC status check shows an RC’s details.
Apply for the licence and book the test on Sarathi, then go to Nagole on the day; for registering offices, see the Hyderabad RTO guide.
No challan can be settled at the Nagole track. Search the registration number on echallan.parivahan.gov.in or in mParivahan to see and pay them.
Driving a test vehicle without cover is an offence as well, and our Telangana RTO guide gives the fines for everything else.
Which office takes a car when you move near the track, and the steps for leaving
Moving near the track does not bring your car to Nagole, as it registers nothing. The office is set by your address, and Nagole is not named on any office’s area list in the charter, so read the code on your RC and ask that office first.
The RTO that issued your RC in the other state gives it on Form 28
Once the car has been in Telangana for 12 months, apply to the office for your address
Telangana charges it on the cost, at a rate that falls with the car’s age
If you are leaving Telangana, the NOC on Form 28 comes from the office on your RC, applied for online with a slot booking and the RC, policy, tax-paid proof, PUC certificate and police verification certificate. Once the other state gives a number, inform your insurer, and use our Telangana RTO guide for the rest.
The track has no part in Bharat series (BH) numbers. If your work moves you between states, the dealer applies for BH instead of a zone code, and the car later moves without an NOC.
For a private sector employee, the company needs offices in 4 or more states or union territories and Form 60 from the employer. The format is YY BH #### XX, where YY is the year of first registration, the four digits are allotted at random, and XX represents the alphabetic series, which can be a single letter or two letters. It is black on a white plate, like any other private car.
To see whether you qualify, and how the BH tax is charged, read our Telangana RTO guide.
Form 2 is the one for the test; the rest go to registering offices
The one Nagole candidates need, to apply for a learner’s or driving licence before the test at the track
Download PDFOther forms are on the Parivahan Sewa website, in its list of RTO forms, and our Telangana RTO guide matches each to its task.
Your premium has nothing to do with where you take the test. The Own Damage zone follows the office that registered the car, and the Nagole track registers no vehicles, so it has no zone of its own.
Look at the code on the RC, as the registering office decides the insurance zone
The car or bike you drive in the test needs valid cover, like any vehicle on the road
Its price is set by engine size for the whole country, so compare Own Damage and optional covers
After a used car’s RC is transferred, the buyer has 14 days to move the policy
Passing the test does not change a car’s policy. When the registering office changes your owner, address or number details, inform your insurer.

No. What people call Nagole RTO is the Nagole Driving Test Track, where the Telangana Transport Department holds driving tests for Hyderabad. Registration, transfers and NOCs are done at the zone offices.
